Objective

The core objective was to devise a solution to a specific mobility issue in Istanbul while taking a sustainable approach. Our project, named "BeamUp!" sought to make a substantial impact on the city's transportation landscape.

Challenges & Learning

One of the most significant challenges we faced was the vast scope of the mobility problem. Midway through the project, we realized the need to shift our focus group based on the results of our research and user interviews. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: the ideation phase in a UX/UI project is an ongoing and iterative process.

Our project was unique in that it placed a heavy emphasis on UX research and heuristic analysis of the process. Notably, we had a mere 3 weeks in the semester to focus on UI design, while the majority of the 11-week duration was dedicated to in-depth research.

Collaboration & Data Sources

To inform our project, we worked closely with İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İstanbul Planning Agency, relying on their reports as primary data sources. Their invaluable insights formed the foundation of our research-driven approach.
